Our New Abode

Like I said in my last post, we have moved into a small, compact, but lovely clean home near Castle Plaza on South Road, Adelaide. It's a great setting and we've had a good time exploring the district as one does when moving to a new suburb.
So what of interest have we discovered? There's a free to use council tennis court around the corner, that is very well used by the community. We've been for a hit with the kids 3 times and had to wait for a free court 2  of those times! Just around the corner is a little deli, which is really rare - I thought Woolies and Coles had run them all out of town! Needless to say we have tried to support them by purchasing a few lemonade icy poles! It takes me less than 5 minutes to walk from our door to the door of Spotlight - very, very dangerous!! And on our way to school we pass the  Morphetville race course and have watched horses swimming in their very deep training pool!

So now to the house. It is 3bedroom, kitchen dining together etc etc. Its all very normal, but for one thing - the toilet. In fact the toilet is so special it has inspired me to write this blog!! Do you remember those bed-heads that were padded in a criss cross pattern with the beads at the centre. Well that is how our toilet door looks from the inside (minus the beads). It is padded in white vinyl with a criss cross!!! However, that's not all. Add to that a ceiling made of sound-proof plaster, and you have the picture. I'm not sure what the previous owner did in there, but the mind boggles, to make it so sound proof!! When you close the door you have about 30cm between your knees and the door, and it makes me so claustrophobic, I can't bear to close it so we use the 'little room' with the door open!!! So visitors beware as you walk up to the front door, don't peer too closely in through the window! But anyone reading this please feel free to make suggestions as to why anyone could possible need a toilet like this. It surely can't be for sound - that would be crazy!
So soft you could use it as a cushion!!
Besides this, the house is working a treat, we really like living here for these few months and are very thankful to God for providing this for us.

Chow for now
